ABOUT

Davey Schaupp is a filmmaker and documentary photographer capturing the humanity at the center of great stories.

Growing up between East Africa and the Southern US, he developed a deep curiosity for

the world and the stories we share. He studied at Clemson University, further cultivating his unique perspective on human resilience, sustainable development, and cultural preservation.

 

His first documentary, Beyond Lesser Things, was filmed in Southern Kordofan, Sudan, and went on to be screened at national film festivals, winning several awards. His most recent documentary, No Place to Grow Old is finished and set to be released in 2025. Today, he is based out of Portland, Oregon and focuses on impact storytelling that blends empathy with beautiful, thoughtful visuals.
